A world first: 7T MRI used in children
Brain imaging enters a new dimension in children aged 6 and over. For the first time in France, images of the brain of a 6-year-old child have been captured using a 7 Tesla MRI, a technology previously reserved for adults. This breakthrough, achieved by CEA teams, marks a major turning point in the exploration of the developing brain. It opens up unprecedented prospects for a better understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders and pediatric brain pathologies.
