Technology transfer and commercialization policy

This area will focus in particular on the development and technology transfer policies that are crucial to building the Institute's business model in the medium and long term.

For example, the creation of a committee to relaunch projects, the strengthening of the national network, the application to the Carnot Institute, the France 2030 "Third-Party Experimentation" call for tenders, and membership of the Brain and Mind biocluster. In addition, a culture of commercialization will be encouraged at the Institute, at all stages of clinical research.

The main aim of this program of work is to develop the know-how needed to exploit the expertise, results, etc. of the Institute from the very start of the research process in all programs of work, and to promote new intervention strategies.

It is of the utmost importance for the Institute to bring to market innovative methods for studying children's mental health, new digital solutions and educational practices, new therapies, better databases...

The commercialization and transfer of technology to address neurodevelopmental vulnerabilities in children's health and education remains limited, accounting for just 10% of all pre-market drug approvals and humanitarian device exemptions granted by the US FDA over the past decade. To remedy this situation, the Institute will be developing a new technology transfer and commercialization policy.

Creation of a technology transfer team at the Institute.

Promote a proactive and accelerated intellectual property policy.

To provide a stimulating framework and technical infrastructure for the creation and development of start-ups in the healthcare and education sectors.

Provide opportunities for collaboration with industry and public research organizations, as well as support for coordination.
