The pediatric neurology department at Hôpital Robert-Debré AP-HP is dedicated to treating pathologies of the nervous system from the ante-natal period through to adolescence.
The department's objectives are to care for children and adolescents with neurological diseases, in both emergency and chronic settings.
Improving understanding of neurological diseases and developing new care modalities are also at the heart of the department's project.

The neonatal resuscitation and pediatrics department has 47 beds to accommodate premature or full-term newborns with respiratory distress, infectious pathologies, neurological distress, digestive pathologies, endocrinological or nephrological disorders, malformations or surgical pathologies (visceral, urological, ENT).

Genetic consultations are aimed at patients and families suffering from a disability or developmental disease of genetic origin, for diagnosis, genetic counseling, care, prenatal diagnosis and research.
The clinical genetics activity has two main focuses: perinatal pathologies and pathologies affecting older children (or adults, in the case of paediatric-onset diseases).

The Physiology and Functional Explorations Department handles cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, neurological and sleep explorations, from newborns to adolescents.
Electroencephalography (EEG) of newborns and children, and epilepsy exploration are all part of a cluster of excellence in neurology.

The Department of Otolaryngology and Pediatric Cervicofacial Surgery at Robert-Debré Hospital AP-HP is an internationally recognized academic team for the medical and surgical treatment of diseases and malformations of the ears, nose and throat in children from birth to adolescence.
It is accredited as a Centre de Référence Maladies Rares constitutif (MALO) and a Centre de Référence pour l'implantation cochléaire.

In view of the large number of research protocols managed and monitored by AP-HP, DRCI has set up local Clinical Research Units (URC) to decentralize the management of some of its missions to University Hospital Groups (GHU).
The clinical research at hôpital Robert-Debré has had a Clinical Epidemiology Unit since 2004 to promote clinical epidemiology studies of patient cohorts followed on the site.
The aim of this unit is to strengthen support for clinicians and researchers at the Robert-Debré Hospital for the clinical epidemiology studies they wish to undertake. The unit makes its methodological, technical, logistical and analytical skills available to all the hospital's departments, in order to resolve clinical, epidemiological and organizational issues.
Conducting a research project should be an opportunity to improve the methodological knowledge of young clinicians and researchers by organizing knowledge transfer.

The Centre d'Investigation Clinique-Plurithématique is primarily a center for integrated clinical research into the pathologies of pregnancy and development, and rare and chronic childhood diseases, with a specialized research team and dedicated beds.
This was the first CIC to be set up in France in 1992, under the joint supervision of INSERM and DGOS.

The mission of Robert-Debré's biological resources platform (PRB) is to set up "heritage" biological collections (biobanks), the main aim of which is to collect biological samples on a medical-scientific theme related to pediatrics or the pathologies of pregnant women.
The interest and quality of a biobank depend on the inclusion criteria and the nature and preparation of the samples, which must be large enough to encourage innovative research programs.
Opened in 2017, Robert-Debré's PRB collects around 2,500 samples a year. The specific features of this PRB are, of course, that it concerns children almost exclusively, but also the strong integration into Robert-Debré's Pediatric Biochemistry laboratory, which enables us to offer complex treatments for samples characterized by small volume.
In June 2024, over 15,000 samples of DNA, serum and cells will be stored in the PRB's freezers.
